Editorial Standards & How We Test
ListenToSA exists to help South African readers make confident technology decisions. To earn that trust, we hold every review and guide to the standards below.
How we test
We do not publish repackaged spec sheets. Phones are used as a daily driver for at least a week. Laptops and PC components are benchmarked across real workloads — gaming, content creation and everyday productivity — and we note thermals and power draw, which matter in a country that knows load-shedding. Printers are run through real print, scan and running-cost cycles. Where we rely on manufacturer figures we say so plainly.
Independence
Our verdicts are our own. We do not accept payment for a positive review, and no manufacturer sees our coverage before it is published. Some articles contain affiliate links; if you buy through them we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you, and it never changes our rating.
Pricing
Where possible we reference local availability and rand pricing, because a glowing review of a product you cannot buy in South Africa helps nobody.
Corrections
We get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we fix it and note the correction. Spotted an error? Email hello@listentosa.co.za.
